HIEROGLYPHICS: THE ANCESTOR OF THE EMAIL

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. describe what hieroglyphics are and how they were used to communicate	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2. explain why hieroglyphics can be regarded as one of the ancestors of email	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3. state three similarities between hieroglyphics and emails	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4. list at least five other methods of communication that have been used over time	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5. use an email application to write a message that has a context and wording appropriate for a stated purpose and send it	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6. find out about and describe an accessibility feature of email that helps to make communication easier for people with special needs, eg hard of seeing, dyslexic.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
