In successfully completing this unit, the Learner will have		Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to
1	find out about historical communities that used mummification and find two similarities and two differences between one of those communities and the ancient Egyptians	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2	make a model to represent four canopic jars, using something suitable to represent the organs that would have gone into them	Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
3	describe the purpose of natron salt in mummification	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4	write a hypothesis to describe what they think will happen if they use different salt compounds to mummify an apple	Student completed work
5	test three different salt compounds and find out which makes the best mummified apple	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6	record their observations and findings.	Student completed work
