COUNTRY FLAGS AND SYMBOLS

Level: Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. identify and name at least three major European flags and associate them with their respective countries	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2. recognise and replicate the colours of at least three major Asian flags	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3. locate at least two major countries on a map of North America and match them with their corresponding flags	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4. recall and identify flags of at least three South American countries	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5. assemble puzzle pieces to accurately recreate the flags of at least two African nations	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
shown knowledge of 6. at least two unique features of the Australian flag and demonstrate understanding by crafting a version of the flag	Student completed work
demonstrated the ability to 7. recognise at least two flags based on dominant colours	Summary sheet
8. recognise and name at least three common symbols found in flags and incorporate them into a personal flag design.	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
