In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. read a 20th or 21st century fiction text of approximately 500 words

2. identify four features of a section of the text, in response to a question

7. identify, for each of the features identified, how this is intended to affect the reader

8. write at least one paragraph which explains how a writer has used language to present an idea to the reader, using quotations and subject terminology appropriately.
