In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
shown knowledge of 1. the importance of good soil health	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2. at least two factors that can improve soil health	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3. at least two factors that can damage soil health	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
demonstrated the ability to 4. choose three areas on the farm to observe, eg the livestock area	Summary sheet
5. dig a section of soil to be observed	Summary sheet
6. observe and discuss five characteristics of the soil, eg the presence of roots.	Summary sheet
