DEMONSTRATING LEADERSHIP IN SPORT (UNIT 4)

Level: Level Two

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. research and test at least two types of warm-up, cool-down and main activities, focusing on a specific sport and skill, and select the best ones for use

2. apply the four-step thought process of a sports leader when leading a session, eg spatial awareness, activity, equipment and personnel

3. create a three-part lesson plan detailing at least three lesson stages, the necessary resources and at least two learning objectives

4. teach a session on a specific sport and skill by providing the necessary equipment, demonstrating the activities and coaching the students to improve

5. evaluate their own performance in leading a session
