demonstrated the ability to

1. use a ruler to measure two objects in cm and say which is the shortest or longest

2. use a metre ruler to measure two objects in cm and say which is the shortest or longest

3. look at an item and decide which measuring tool to use to measure its length

4. read the measurements of at least two items in a measuring jug or marked cylinder

5. order three objects from lightest to heaviest using balance scales to measure their weight

6. use a thermometer to measure the temperature of at least three items, saying which is the coolest or hottest.
