1. read at least three forms of persuasive writing eg a letter, a commentary, headline, advert, leaflet

2. identify and distinguish between fact and opinion in at two texts

3. identify at least two persuasive devices in a text, eg rhetorical questions, deliberate ambiguities, condescension, concession

4. construct an argument in note form to persuade others of a point of view

5. construct an argument in full text, eg a leaflet, letter, commentary, newspaper report, flier, on an issue which sets out and justifies a points of view, using at least two persuasive devices.
