1. take the lead rope and hold it in the correct manner

2. start walking carefully making sure the alpaca has freedom to move

3. keep a firm grip on the lead rope

4. turn the alpaca in a circle if they are resisting the lead rope and pull down on the lead rope

5. walk the alpaca for 10 minutes, leaving the safety of the paddock, walking in different directions and over different terrain

6. return the alpaca to the holding area

7. safely hand the alpaca over to someone else

shown knowledge of

8. at least two things that frighten an alpaca

9. at least two ways to help an alpaca feel safe.
