MICROWAVE COOKERY: SPONGE CAKE

1. making a range of sponge cakes, eg coconut cake, using the same basic recipe and five common ingredients, ie 100g each of self raising flour, caster sugar and soft margarine, 1tsp of baking powder and two eggs

3. place the five basic ingredients into a mixing bowl, add the ingredients particular to the cake being made, eg coconut, mixing each time

5. pour the mixture into the greased bowl and spread evenly

7. place the bowl in the microwave and set to five minutes on high, with support
