CHRISTMAS CUSTOMS

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
acquired an understanding of 1. the origins, historical and/or religious significance and current 'usage' of at least ten customs associated with Christmas by conducting own research, eg Bells, Boxing Day	Student completed work
demonstrated the ability to 2. write and illustrate a poem or story with a Christmas theme of at least 50 words suitable for a child aged between 3 - 7 years	Student completed work
3. use own research on Christmas customs to produce two of the following: a card of own design, a crossword or wordsearch, at least three illustrated recipes, an A4 puzzle page for children	Student completed work
experienced 4. taking part in a discussion on Christmas customs in this country and comparing them to family traditions.	Summary sheet
