demonstrated the ability to

1. identify three health and safety rules for the use of an oven

2. check that the shelves are in a suitable position as required by the recipe

3. turn on the oven switch

4. turn the temperature dial to the correct position as required by the recipe

5. indicate when the oven in preheated

6. hold a tray or dish safely using oven gloves

7. place the tray or dish safely in the centre of the oven

8. lift the tray or dish out of the oven and place safely on a worksurface

9. close the oven door and turn the dial to the off position

10. turn off the oven switch.
