1. scribble spontaneously on at least three occasions

2. name own scribble when asked questions about it, eg 'What have you drawn?'

3. produce vertical strokes in imitation of an adult drawing a vertical line on at least three occasions

4. produce horizontal strokes in imitation of an adult drawing a horizontal line on at least three occasions

5. produce circular strokes in imitation of an adult drawing a circle on at least three occasions

6. create a mark on paper deliberately to convey meaning to another person on at least three occasions.
