MAKING INFORMED CAREER CHOICES

Level: Level Two

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. identify four sources of careers information, help and support

2. use the sources to identify four appropriate preferred careers

3. report on basic requirements of three of the selected careers using the headings: qualifications, training, skills and experience

4. name own career choice

5. produce a basic personal careers action plan for the selected career which includes targets, action points, review dates and summative review of progress

6. research requirements for entry into Further and/or Higher Education and produce a short summary of findings

7. describe at least three opportunities for lifelong learning beyond FE and/or HE.
