In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. use appropriate tools and equipment in order to adaquately prepare a surface or material ready for painting	Summary sheet
2. select the appropriate paint	Summary sheet
3. stir the paint to the correct consistency	Summary sheet
4. apply the paint evenly, as directed, avoiding drips and spills wherever possible	Summary sheet
5. clean brushes and other equipment correctly	Summary sheet
experienced 6. working dependently whilst painting and decorating.	Summary sheet
