MATHS: PROPERTIES OF SHAPES

Level: Pre-Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. count the sides and vertices of at least two 2D shapes	Student completed work
2. draw at least two 2D shapes	Student completed work
3. recognise lines of symmetry in a shape	Student completed work
4. identify halves of shapes, eg by shading	Student completed work
5. identify quarters of shapes, eg by shading	Student completed work
6. count the faces, edges and vertices on at least two 3D shapes	Student completed work
7. sort at least two 3D shapes, eg into different sizes	Student completed work
8. investigate which 3D shapes roll	Student completed work and/or summary sheet
shown knowledge of 9. the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.	Student completed work
