DESIGNING AND MAKING A MASK

Level: Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. investigate different styles of face mask	Summary sheet
2. design a face mask	Summary sheet
3. alter the size and shape of a basic moulded base to suit own design	Summary sheet
4. paint the built up mask	Summary sheet
5. use at least two other materials to enhance the aesthetics of the final face mask, eg fabric, feathers, sequins	Summary sheet or photograph(s)
experienced 6. taking part in a discussion with a teacher about the choice made in respect of the design	Summary sheet
7. taking part in a discussion with a teacher about the choice made in respect to materials used to enhance features of the face mask	Summary sheet
8. evaluating own progress through discussion with the teacher	Summary sheet
9. taking part in a discussion with the teacher and peers to evaluate the finished mask.	Summary sheet
