In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. simplify and manipulate given algebraic expressions on at least two occasions by collecting like terms, multiplying a single term over a bracket, taking out common factors, simplifying expressions involving sums, products and powers, including the laws of indices
