1. hold the plastering hawke correctly

2. transfer plaster from the plastering hawke to plasterboard using a plastering trowel

3. apply a thin coat of plaster to the plasterboard and allow to dry

4. repeat to apply a second coat of plaster

5. use a dry trowel to smooth the surface of the plaster and allow to dry

6. apply a wet trowel to the plaster surface to ensure a smooth finish.
