Level: Level One

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
experienced 1. watching at least two videos of arrangements of a selected piece	Summary sheet
2. performing in front of an audience on at least one occasion	Summary sheet
shown knowledge of 3. what their own role in a band is, eg leading others, taking a solo part, providing rhythmic support	Student completed work or summary sheet
demonstrated the ability to 4. evaluate the progress of the band by stating one thing that is working well and suggesting one improvement	Summary sheet
5. maintain an accurate part in a group music performance	Summary sheet
6. compose a short piece of music	Summary sheet
7. arrange an original song suitable for the instrumentation of the band.	Summary sheet
