3D PRINTING: MODEL CARS

Level: Level One

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. identify at least two uses of 3D printing

2. use at least three functions, eg scaling, aligning or grouping, of a 3D modelling programme, eg Tinkercad

3. design a simple keyring using a 3D modelling programme

4. research at least three different motorised model cars, including finding out how they are propelled

5. design the model of a motorised wind propellor car on paper, including sketches of the plan and elevations with measurements

6. use their plans to design the body of their model in a 3D modelling programme

7. assemble their model using the 3D printed body and other mechanical parts

8. test their model on a flat surface
