1. discuss as a class the photo collages by Hockney

2. choose which style of Hockney's work they would like to create, ie grid layout or overlapping photos

3. choose the subject they are going to photograph, eg portrait, object, building

4. take at least 20 photos of their chosen subject, with support

5. print and cut out a small copy of each photo, with support

6. choose a coloured background

7. arrange the photos in the Hockney style chosen and stick them down onto the background, with support

8. using a camera with support.
