ART AND DESIGN: MASKS AND THEATRE

Level: Level One

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. research masks such as African spirit masks, Chinese dragon masks, Egyptian death masks and Venetian carnival masks and produce own mask inspired by chosen example	Student completed work
2. produce at least one design for a theatre set for a drama or dance company or a school production inspired by the stage designs of Erté and the work of David Hockney	Student completed work
3. produce a costume, headdress or footwear for a theatrical production of own choice	Student completed work
experienced 4. working with at least one of the following areas of study: fine art, graphic communication, photography, textile design or three dimensional design.	Summary sheet
