ART AND DESIGN: CEREMONIES, FESTIVALS AND CELEBRATIONS

Level: Level One

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. research and examine at least one festival or custom that is visually rich, colourful and exciting, eg Notting Hill Carnival, Glastonbury, the Winter carnival in Venice or the Day of the Dead in Mexico	Student completed work
2. produce a piece of artwork inspired by their research	Student completed work
3. design a poster combining image and text for a festival or event of their choice	Student completed work
experienced 4. working with at least one of the following areas of study: fine art, graphic communication, photography, textile design or three dimensional design.	Summary sheet
