DESIGNING AND MAKING A MODEL OF A FORM OF TRANSPORT

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. name, using either words, makaton signs or both, at least three different types of transport	Summary sheet
2. select one form of transport and investigate it, eg by collecting pictures and counting wheels or wings	Student completed work
3. draw a design for the chosen form of transport	Student completed work
4. select materials to construct the design, eg 'scrap materials', construction kit	Summary sheet
5. construct the designed form of transport with adult support if necessary	Student completed work
experienced 6. taking part in a group discussion to evaluate own work.	Summary sheet
