How do grade boundaries work?
Grade boundaries ensure no one is advantaged or disadvantaged by easier or harder papers. They level the playing field. No board can make it easier to achieve the grade, but what we do at AQA is give you all the teaching support, guidance and resources to make sure your students have the best possible opportunities to succeed in our straightforward and familiar exams.
Exam boards set and maintain standards and we're all closely monitored by Ofqual to ensure outcomes are always fair and comparable. The standard remains the same no matter the exam paper or exam board.
