Submitting student samples
How to send learners’ non-exam assessment (NEA) work samples to the moderator.
What to send
- NEA evidence required for all the candidates in the sample
- Signed candidate record form for each learner in the sample (you can use electronic signatures).
- For some components, Performance duration declaration forms (PPDF)
Where to send samples
Uploading samples in CMS
You'll need to use the CMS area in Centre Services to submit NEA sample files for the following components:

- A-level Drama and Theatre component 2: creating original drama (7262/C)
- A-level English Language (7702/C)
- A-level English Language and Literature (7707/C)

Submitting files on Digital Media Submissions Portal (DMP)
You'll need to use our DMP in Centre Services to submit NEA files for the following components:
- A-level Music performance (7272/P) and composition (7272/C)
- AS and A-level teacher conducted speaking tests in French, German and Spanish
- GCSE speaking tests in Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Italian, Modern Hebrew, Panjabi, Polish,Spanish and Urdu

We’ll send you AQA sacks. Address details will be on Centre marks submission (CMS).
Use standard post. Do not use a service that requires a signature from the recipient.Keep a record of all items you send.

We’ll send separate instructions about arrangements for visiting moderation to the appropriate subject teachers at your school or college.
NEA marked by AQA examiners
- AQA Certificate Applied Business (Level 3) - Entrepreneurial Opportunities (ABS3)
We’ll send you grey AQA sacks and blank yellow or white labels to print your exam labels on. You send them in the same way as exam scripts.
- A-level Drama and Theatre component 3: making theatre (7262/X)
- GCSE Drama component 3: texts in practice (8261/X)
So that we can arrange for a courier to collect your materials once the filmed performances are ready to send, please email AQADramaCollections@aqa.org.uk confirming that the exam visit has taken place and you’d like to arrange for the materials to be collected. Include the following information in your email:
- centre number
- component code - either GCSE 8261/X or A-level 7262/X as applicable
- details of point of collection (normally reception)
- a suitable day for collection.
- A-level Dance NEA - Performance and choreography (7237/X)
- AS and A-level visiting examiner conducted speaking tests in French, German and Spanish
Our visiting examiners will retain the evidence at the end of the visit.
