3. discuss at least two methods of construction and jointing methods that are suitable for the project

4. use the design and construction methods discussed to make a wooden bench

5. mark out the timber

6. use a hand saw, chop saw or band saw to cut the wood to size

7. use an electric drill to drill holes in the required places to allow for assembly of the bench

8. use an electric screw driver and glue to assemble the bench components

9. use sand paper to hand finish the bench

10. use a blow torch to scorch the timber for an appropriate finish

11. verbally evaluate the finished bench
