RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE WORKPLACE

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will haveEvidence needed

demonstrated the ability to

1. communicate the meaning of at least two different health and safety signs in each of two different work areas

2. recognise, from given examples, at least three different items of protective clothing that must be provided by an employer in the workplace

3. identify one job for which each of the selected items of clothing would be needed

4. communicate at least one reason why each of the selected items of clothing must be worn

5. recognise two potential risks in a given work environment

6. recognise from given lists, two major responsibilities of an employee, eg to be punctual, and two of an employer, eg to provide pay, outside the area of health and safety.
