1. mount a digital camera or a digital video camera on a tripod using a quick release plate

2. turn the digital camera or digital video camera on and off

3. create a filming plan or storyboard of ideas for a basic animation

4. take digital images in accordance with the filming plan or storyboard

5. download images from the digital camera or digital video camera to a photo editing software package such as imovie

6. use an editing software package to produce an animation

7. use SFX transitions, image speed and make duration adjustments to the animation

8. add titles and credits to the animation

9. save the completed animation to a DVD or CD.
