GCSE Biology

  • Teaching from: September 2016
  • Exams from: June 2018
  • Specification code: 8461
  • QAN code: 601/8752/9

GCSE Biology is one of seven qualifications in our Science for all suite, developed with teachers to inspire and challenge students of all abilities and aspirations.

The core content is largely the same as our current specification: any changes are from the Department for Education (DfE), or tell a more coherent and logical story through biology with exciting, relevant topics such as cloning. We’ll provide guidance on how to integrate the eight required practicals into your teaching.

Our improved exams have fewer words, fewer contexts, and questions that increase in difficulty.
