Jasbir Sondhi

Jasbir is Group Principal at Capital City College, one of England’s largest further education providers, supporting more than 37,000 learners. A member of the Executive Leadership Team, she has over 20 years' experience in further education, with extensive experience in educational leadership, curriculum development and improving outcomes for young people.

Her expertise spans academic, vocational and technical education, with a particular focus on qualification reform, inclusive curriculum pathways and progression into further study and employment. She brings to the AQA Board a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing learners, colleges and the wider education sector.

Alongside her executive role, Jasbir is Chair of a charity, which supports young people affected by exclusion and violence, and a co-opted governor at college. She is also involved in STEAM Board, supporting collaboration between education, employers and the wider community.

Throughout her career, Jasbir has championed inclusion, social mobility and widening access to education. She is passionate about ensuring that qualifications and assessment recognise the potential of all learners, regardless of their background or starting point.
