We’ve partnered with the Educational Recording Agency (ERA) to further strengthen our classroom support and help students engage with key topics in a more dynamic way.
The resource collection, which comprises playlists mapped to GCSE Religious Studies A and Short Course topics, is free for state schools in England courtesy of a central licensing agreement with the Department for Education (DfE).
A spokesperson for ERA said: “We’re delighted to be working with AQA to offer RS teachers access to curriculum-aligned, high-quality broadcast content that engages young learners and provides a wide range of world perspectives.”
For us, this partnership is a great opportunity to explore new ways to support teachers and learners – and underlines our commitment to making curriculum content more accessible and relevant.
Our Subject Lead for RS, Esther Zarifi, added: “I’m really excited about this new partnership because it will give our teachers easy access to some great resources to support their teaching of our specifications.
“ERA is such a helpful platform for schools. It’s great to be able to facilitate this for RS departments.”
On the ERA website, you’ll discover two sections - Paper 1: Religions and Paper 2: Themes – full of playlists that illustrate key themes and support students’ understanding in the classroom or at home.
From Christian beliefs to religion, human rights and social justice, there are a wealth of videos ready to transform your lessons.
Any school with the ERA Licence can benefit. While state schools in England are covered by the DfE licensing agreement, most independent schools also hold an ERA Licence.
To access this free resource, registration is required. For more information, visit era.org.uk/the-licence/ or to browse our playlists, visit era.org.uk/teacher-resources/aqa-gcse-religious-studies/.
