Historic environment sites for 2023

The following specified historic sites for the 2023 exams are covered in the historic environment element of the British depth studies in the specification.

  • Norman England, c1066–c1100: Yorkshire after the Norman conquest, c1066–c1088
  • Medieval England, the reign of Edward I,1272–1307: The Merchant’s House, Southampton in the time of Edward I
  • Elizabethan England, c1568–1603: Sheffield Manor Lodge
  • Restoration England, 1660–1685: London Coffee Houses in the Restoration period

We’ll be working with partner organisations to create 2023 resource packs for you to use in the classroom and will be releasing these in September 2021.
