Unit Award Scheme

demonstrated the ability to

1. play all nine of the most common open chords, ie E, Em, A, Am, D, Dm, C, F, G

2. play three finger power chords on the 5th and 6th string

3. understand the theoretical difference between a minor chord and a minor seven chord

4. play three 'minor seven' chord shapes

5. understand the theoretical concept of a suspended 4th chord

6. play three 'Sus 4' open chord shapes

7. play hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, palm mute and vibrato

8. play at least five songs that cover all of the above chords and playing techniques.
