Introduction to Spanish

Here you will find a selection of introductory Spanish UAS units, and a whole suite of units that we have mapped to the National Curriculum - Languages key stages 1 to 2 and carefully curated to match the themes found in the AQA | Spanish | GCSE | GCSE Spanish.

Learning a language at Key Stage 1 and 2 will lay the necessary foundations for further language learning in Key Stages 3 and 4, as well as developing an intercultural understanding and a solid basis for learning further languages. The learning of a foreign language supports pupils’ literacy and oracy, building on and complementing the skills acquired in English.

Learners will receive a certificate each time they complete a unit. By recognising their achievements in this way, the scheme allows learners to engage with their learning, build confidence and take clear steps towards success in Spanish.
