AS and A-level Psychology specification updates for first AS exams in 2026 and A-level in 2027
We have made changes to our Psychology (7181) and (7182) specifications from first teach in September 2025. View the updated specification changes and latest resources we have available for AS level and A-level Psychology
In October 2024, we were delighted to announce the changes we have made to the subject content of our AS and A-level Psychology specification (7181, 7182) ready for first teach in September 2025.
The changes we have made will improve the clarity of the specification, as well as reducing some of the specification content. We have also updated the language used to be more reflective of society.
The changes will affect first AS exams in summer 2026 and A-level exams in summer 2027.
Continue using the current specification content for your next year 11 cohort taking exams in 2026.
To make sure you have everything you need to support your teaching and prepare your students for the AS exams in 2026 and A-level exams in 2027, we've created a full support package with resources to guide you through the changes.
