Office closed for Christmas – our offices will be closed on Wednesday 24 December 2025 for Christmas and New Year, and will open again on Friday 2 January 2026.
NEA adviser availability – please note your NEA adviser will be on hand to help with any guidance until Thursday 18 December 2025. After this date they will be unavailable until Friday 2 January 2026. If you do not have your adviser details, you can find them on Centre Services.
Change of process for Centre Services additional admin
We’ve made some changes to the additional administrator process:
- if you need to request an additional centre administrator or an update to an existing centre administrator’s email address, we'll now accept the security email from the existing Exams Officer, and we’ll call them to verify the request.
- if we do not have a record of an existing centre admin in post, we’ll get in touch with the Head of Centre to verify the request.
To help protect the secure data on Centre services, all Centre Services administrators must complete annual cyber security training. This is stated in JCQ’s General Regulations for Approved Centres, section 3.21.
Results day for November 2025 exam series
Results day for the November 2025 exam series is Thursday 8 January 2026. We’ll be in touch closer to the time with detailed results day guidance. In the meantime, you can find information on our website.

Entries submitted on or after Tuesday 16 December 2025 are classified as very late and will be charged a ‘very late’ entry fee, and you'll be charged to make any amendments.
We’ll be in touch before the start of the January 2026 exams with detailed exam guidance.
Summer 2026 exam series
The summer 2026 exam series basedata was released on 21 November and it can now be imported into your MIS.
You can make entries for the summer 2026 exam series until Saturday 21 February 2026. New entries made after this date will be charged a late fee. We recommend getting your entry file to us as soon as it’s ready so we can start processing it, and help you to fix any issues.
You can find more entries information on our website including a flow chart and information on how to avoid common mistakes when making entries.
If you need help understanding how to use your MIS for entries, please contact your provider.
Instructions for the conduct of exams for Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

All teachers involved in exams for the 2026 exam series must download and read the instructions to make sure that they understand the requirements of the exam.
In particular, please check the windows for conducting speaking tests and the date when teachers may open the materials for their preparation.
For GCSE
The speaking test period is Tuesday 7 April to Friday 15 May. Materials may be opened for preparation no earlier than Tuesday 31 March 2026.
For AS and A-level
The speaking test window is Monday 13 April to Friday 22 May. Materials may be opened for preparation no earlier than Thursday 9 April 2026.
If you’re conducting MFL exams in summer 2026, a copy of these instructions, together with a copy of the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) ICE document must be available in each exam room.
If you have any MFL questions, you can email mfl@aqa.org.uk or call 01423 534381.
Exams Officer training
We’ve noticed that more and more of you want to join our Exams Officer training, both face-to-face and online events. We know how precious your time is and often things get in the way, but if you cannot attend your session, please make sure you amend your booking so we can offer this place to another Exams Officer.
For every webinar topic, there will be a recording of the session available on our AQA training for Exams Officers page if you are not able to attend an alternative event.
JCQ AI survey
JCQ would like your feedback on their updated 'AI Use in Assessments' guidance and the accompanying support materials. If you’d like to give feedback, you can complete their survey. The survey is open until Wednesday 17 December 2025.
Conflict of interest
We’ve uploaded a refreshed guide for managing conflicts of interest within your centre. You can also find the guidance on our website.
Alternative Provision networks
We've opened bookings for our spring term Alternative Provision networks. These are online, termly networks designed for Exams Officers that operate outside of mainstream provisions, including SEMH, SEND, Medical and Behavioural centres.
This space allows similar provisions to share best practice, support each other and hear updates from the Exams Officer Engagement Team. If you're not yet signed up for these networks, and would like to join us, please send your name, centre number and provision type to ExamsOfficerEngagement@aqa.org.uk.
We’re hiring JCQ Centre Inspectors
We're hiring JCQ Centre Inspectors, on behalf of the JCQ exam boards to visit centres and check that they're administering exams in-line with the relevant JCQ rules. This important role helps to make sure that students across the country receive fair and equal exam conditions.
You can find out more and apply for the role here.
