3the uses of at least five leather carving tools used to create different effects on leatherStudent completed work

demonstrated the ability to

4correctly moisten or 'case' a piece of leather before carvingSummary sheet
5accurately transfer a design onto the leatherSummary sheet
6use a swivel knife to accurately cut the design into the leatherSummary sheet
7use at least five different stamps to tool the design, eg beveller, pear shader, veiner, camouflager, backgrounder, mule's foot, seeder, flower centre and stopSummary sheet
8apply a finish, eg sealer, antiquing gel, to the leather to complete the piece.Student completed work and/or photograph(s)
