In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. read a 20th or 21st century fiction text of approximately 500 words	Summary sheet
2. make a list of at least five words which can be used to present an evaluation	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
3. identify the viewpoint or perspective of the writer in relation to a given statement	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4. find evidence from the text in the form of quotations which show the viewpoint or perspective of the writer	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
5. identify the methods the writer has used in the selected quotations	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
6. write a clear evaluation of the text, using quotations and subject terminology appropriately.	Student completed work
