1. compare and contrast how dragons are portrayed in at least two different cultures, eg European dragons versus Asian dragons

2. explain how these portrayals reflect the key values and fears of the societies researched

3. describe at least two real-world creatures that have inspired the dragon myth considering paleontological discoveries (pterosaurs), komodo dragons or the large predators of today

4. research and present a scientific basis for at least two of the magical abilities of dragons, eg ultrasonic sound, bioluminescence.
