Shadow portraits

Level: Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. use light from the sun or a lamp to create a shadow of a person on paper	Summary sheet
2. trace around the shadow	Summary sheet
3. use a chosen artistic style, eg pop art, graffiti to fill the inside of the shadow	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
4. use a ruler to create a checkered pattern for the background and fill this in black and white	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
experienced 5. looking at at least two shadows and seeing how different positions of the light source can distort them.	Summary sheet
