Designing and making a diy handheld gaming device

Level: Level Two

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
shown knowledge of 1. how to create a simple electronic circuit which includes at least a circuit board, light emitting diode (LED), battery and switch	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
demonstrated the ability to 2. generate at least one design idea for the gaming device shape	Student completed work
3. construct the device considering the placement of the electronic components	Summary sheet
4. solder the electronic components	Summary sheet
5. assemble the components to complete a working model, including any chosen decorative elements	Summary sheet
6. take a photograph of their completed, working product	Summary sheet
7. evaluate the key strengths and weaknesses of their product.	Student completed work
