2. investigate two of Leonardo’s failed projects and analyse the gap between his vision and the materials and knowledge of the 1400s, proposing what specific modern breakthrough would have made them work

3. identify a current global environmental, medical or social challenge and propose a solution using principles from two completely unrelated fields, mimicking Leonardo’s cross-pollination

4. develop and test their own analogue system for capturing and connecting stray ideas for one week, and evaluate how the format changed the quality of their thoughts

5. research how Leonardo used visual shorthand and exploded viewpoints to explain complex systems

6. create their own non-text-based user manual for a modern complex process, focusing on clarity through observation rather than instruction.
