Creating story art based on the work of Stuart Pantoll or 'Slinkachu'

Level: Entry Level

In successfully completing this unit, the learner will have	Evidence needed
demonstrated the ability to 1. research the work of Slinkachu to identify his core themes, including humour and urban life, and explain how he uses ignored locations to make viewers more aware of their surroundings	Summary sheet and/or student completed work
2. plan and organise a set of props including everyday objects, eg bottle caps, fruit, discarded wrappers to serve as a setting for their miniature figures, showing forced perspective and narrative staging	Summary sheet
3. capture a series of photographs using macro techniques, ie close-up focus, 'worm’s-eye view' angles, to make their small scenes appear life-sized	Summary sheet
4. evaluate their own photo series to select one definitive image to contribute to a group project	Student completed work
5. write a descriptive backstory for their chosen photograph in 50 words or fewer to provide context that explains the emotions and/or hidden moment captured in their scene.	Student completed work
