demonstrated the ability to

1. sketch at least two designs for an artefact, eg a cushion picture, a bag, and select one to be produced

2. identify and collect the appropriate equipment, eg threads, fabric, needles, scissors

3. handle sewing equipment within a classroom setting, safely

4. select a variety of fabrics suitable for the artefact

5. make the artefact and finish it using appropriate embellishing techniques.
