Steven Robinson
Steven has had an extensive career in financial services since the early 1990s, including time with Barclays and Lloyds banking groups, and has had a strong focus on risk management throughout.
His last executive role was as chief operating officer for Weatherbys Bank Ltd, a family-owned company, where he was accountable for operational resilience, IT, information security, change management, HR, operations and customer services.
Before that he was global chief operating officer for Bibby Financial Services, a global, independent financial services company trading from 14 countries. Here Steven had accountability for strategy development, HR, marketing, change management and IT.
Steven is a graduate of the University of Wales and is maitrisé from Dauphine University in Paris.
For four years he was an independent non-executive director of a university hospital NHS Trust. Here Steven chaired its governance committee, overseeing risk reporting and mitigation across sub-committees; and he served as a member of its finance committee during a period which eventually secured the Trust’s financial stability by merging into Barts Health Foundation Trust.
