VCE explanation of results

Advanced Subsidiary grades

A pass in an Advanced Subsidiary VCE subject is indicated by one of the five grades: A(a), B(b), C(c), D(d), E(e), of which A(a) is the highest and E(e) the lowest.

An Advanced Subsidiary VCE subject is a three-unit award broadly equivalent to one Advanced Subsidiary GCE (General Certificate of Education) subject.

Advanced grades

An Advanced VCE subject is a six-unit award broadly equivalent to one Advanced GCE (General Certificate of Education) subject.

Advanced Double Award grades

A pass in an Advanced Double VCE subject is indicated by one of nine double grades AA, AB, BB, BC, CC, CD, DD, DE, EE of which AA is the highest and EE is the lowest.
